Leaking radiator repairs in Kent

Water at a radiator valve, pipe joint or radiator body needs checking at its source. Tell us whether it is dripping slowly or spreading, and whether the water or radiator is hot.
Keep the description specific
A leak around a valve spindle is different from water coming through the metal radiator body. Water can also run along a pipe before reaching the floor. Describe the highest visible wet point without reaching behind a hot radiator or loosening a connection.
If the heating can be switched off safely using its normal controls, do so while seeking advice. Do not attempt to tighten hot fittings or drain the heating system yourself.
Why the main stop tap may not stop it
A heating circuit can contain stored water separate from the incoming mains supply. Turning off the household water does not necessarily stop a radiator leak immediately. Do not assume a continuing leak means you selected the wrong tap.
Avoid repeatedly topping up a boiler to compensate for lost water. Tell the plumber if the pressure reading has changed or the heating has stopped; our pressure-loss guide explains what to record.
Repair decisions
The visit needs to establish whether the valve, connection, pipe or radiator itself has failed. Isolation, draining and replacement parts may affect the time and scope. We do not promise that every radiator can be repaired without replacement.
Move possessions away only where safe. If the leak affects a ceiling below, keep people clear of the damaged area and mention that when booking.
Call for emergency attendance, or read water leak repairs if you cannot identify the fitting. Charges and any follow-up work should be agreed before repair begins.
