Stop using a shower that is sending water into a wall, floor or the room below. Running it again to demonstrate the problem can add damage without proving the source.
What happened before the leak?
Explain whether water appeared while showering, afterwards, or while the shower was off. Supply pipework, valve connections, waste fittings and enclosure seals can produce similar-looking damage. A leak near a shower is not automatically a silicone problem.
Mention whether the shower is over a bath, in a tray or part of a wet room. This helps explain access; it does not establish a diagnosis by phone.
A shower that will not turn off
If the controls no longer stop the flow, say whether water is staying in the tray or overflowing. Use a known, safely accessible water isolation point if you can. Do not force the controls, remove an electric-shower cover or touch wet switches.
Water near electrical equipment needs electrical safety advice as well as a plumbing repair. A plumbing call-out is not clearance to use a water-damaged electrical fitting.
Agree access before opening anything
Concealed valves and pipework may require access through a panel or another surface. Tell us about existing access hatches. We will discuss what can be inspected and whether further investigation or making good is separate.
Our bathroom emergency service covers the wider bathroom fault. If water is already coming through below, read ceiling leak precautions.
Call 07469 896305 with the address, shower type and whether the leak has stopped since you stopped using it. Attendance and repair scope are confirmed by phone.
