Blocked sinks and shower drains in Kent
Call for urgent help. WhatsApp replies may not be immediate. We’ll confirm attendance and charges.
A slow outlet and a sink or shower backing up across the room are different priorities. Stop using a fitting that cannot drain, especially if wastewater is escaping or another outlet starts filling.
One fitting or several?
Tell us if the problem is limited to one sink, basin or shower. If the toilet, bath and kitchen sink are affected together, the blockage may be farther along the drainage system and need a different response.
Water coming up in a shower while another appliance empties is useful information. Do not run an appliance again to demonstrate it.
Avoid adding hazards
Do not mix drain-cleaning chemicals or add a second product after the first has failed. Tell the plumber exactly what has already been used. Keep people away from contaminated water, and do not dismantle pipework containing chemicals.
Repeated filling can turn a contained blockage into a flood. If you cannot use the only washing or toilet facilities, mention that when calling.
What can be agreed by phone
Describe the outlet, how long it has been affected and whether there is safe access to its trap or pipework. A local obstruction, damaged fitting and wider drain problem require different work.
Our emergency plumbing and drainage scope does not automatically include CCTV surveys, high-pressure jetting or excavation. We will confirm whether the fault is suitable for our attendance and what further specialist work might be needed.
For a backing-up WC, use blocked toilets. For water beneath a sink that still drains normally, read under-sink leaks.
Call with your postcode and the affected outlets. Attendance and charges are agreed before booking.
