Private water supply-pipe repairs in Kent
Call for urgent help. WhatsApp replies may not be immediate. We’ll confirm attendance and charges.
A leak between the outside supply and the building can look like a persistent wet patch, unexplained water use or reduced flow. Those signs alone do not locate the fault or prove that the private supply pipe is responsible.
Check who needs to respond
Public mains and some shared pipework are the water company’s responsibility; private supply arrangements vary. Contact your supplier when the leak appears in the road or you do not know which pipe is involved. Do not assume that everything outside your front door is privately owned.
For a supply interruption with no visible leak, start with no water at the taps and the supplier’s incident information.
What we need before accepting the job
Tell us the property postcode, where water is appearing and whether the supplier has inspected. Mention a shared supply, meter location and any report or reference number. An existing investigation can help avoid repeating work.
Describe the surface above the suspected pipe: an accessible void is different from buried pipework beneath paving. Do not dig to expose it. Other buried services may be present.
Scope must be agreed
Excavation, specialist leak detection, utility permissions and reinstatement are not automatically included in an emergency visit. We need to confirm access, responsibility and a suitable repair approach first.
An internal leak is better described under water leak repairs. If water is actively entering the building, say that at the start of the call.
Call 07469 896305 to discuss the fault and whether we can take it on. Do not authorise excavation or additional work on the assumption that it is part of a standard call-out.
