Emergency boiler repairs in Kent
Call for urgent help. WhatsApp replies may not be immediate. We’ll confirm attendance and charges.
A boiler breakdown can leave you without heating, hot water or both. The code on the display is useful, but it does not identify the failed component by itself. Tell us what stopped working, what the boiler shows and whether there is any water or gas-safety concern.
Gas smell, carbon monoxide or immediate danger
Do not treat a suspected gas escape as a plumbing booking. Call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999, follow its instructions and leave the property if advised. If a carbon monoxide alarm sounds, get outside and seek urgent help. Do not open the boiler case, touch gas connections or wait for a WhatsApp reply.
For a normal breakdown, use only familiar user controls and note the display code. Do not repeatedly reset an appliance that shuts down again. If water is leaking near electrical equipment, keep clear and explain where it is coming from.
Boiler fault or wider heating problem?
A boiler can produce hot water while the radiators stay cold, or heat some rooms while another circuit remains cool. Those patterns may point to controls, circulation or distribution rather than the boiler itself. Our central heating repairs page explains the wider system assessment.
If pressure keeps falling, record the reading when the system is cool and mention visible leaks. The boiler pressure guide covers what to observe without repeatedly topping up a system whose cause is unknown. For water below the appliance, see boiler water-leak advice.
Qualified gas work and the visit scope
Gas work must be completed by an appropriately Gas Safe registered engineer for the relevant appliance and work category. Check the engineer’s current ID card and ask what the visit includes. A breakdown repair is not automatically an annual service, landlord gas safety record or replacement quotation.
Have the make, model, fault code and any recent repair information ready if safely accessible. Mention LPG or natural gas, a boxed-in appliance, restricted cupboard access or a managing-agent approval requirement. Do not remove panels to obtain a photograph.
Repair, parts or replacement?
The first visit may identify a failed control, pump, valve, sensor or another cause, but the outcome depends on diagnosis, access and parts. Ask whether diagnostic time, additional parts and return visits are separate. Replacing a boiler is a planned project with different design, safety and commissioning requirements; it should not be assumed within an emergency repair.
If a replacement is being considered, see boiler installations and agree the survey, system changes, controls and documentation separately. Where contamination is suspected in the heating circuit, powerflushing may be discussed only after suitability is assessed.
Arrange a Kent boiler repair enquiry
Call 07469 896305 with your postcode, symptoms and whether heating or hot water is affected. We will discuss suitable attendance and charges by phone. For a suspected gas leak, use the national emergency number above, not a general plumbing appointment.
