Central heating repairs in Kent

Central heating not working or radiators staying cold? Arrange heating fault assessment in Kent for circulation, controls, pipework and radiator problems.

Call for urgent help. WhatsApp replies may not be immediate. We’ll confirm attendance and charges.

A house with no heating needs a different response from one cold radiator. Tell us whether every room is affected, whether the hot taps still run hot and whether there is a visible leak. Those details help us plan a heating call-out without asking you to diagnose the system.

Start with the pattern of the fault

If every radiator is cold, the problem could lie in the heat source, controls or distribution system. If some rooms heat normally, the investigation can focus more closely on the affected circuit, valve or radiator. A noisy system or slow warm-up also needs assessment; neither symptom proves that the boiler must be replaced.

Use normal room and timer controls only if you are familiar with them. Note any display message before changing settings. Do not remove boiler covers, open electrical controls or repeatedly reset equipment that stops again.

What a central heating assessment covers

Heating is a connected system: a heat source, controls, circulating water and the emitters that warm the rooms. An assessment needs to establish which part is failing before choosing a repair. Depending on the installation, this may involve radiator valves, accessible heating pipework, circulation components or zone controls.

Let us know about recent work, a drained system or rooms that have never heated properly. A new fault and a longstanding performance problem may need different investigations. Any gas-appliance or electrical work requires the appropriately qualified person and is not automatically included in a general plumbing visit.

A leak or pressure loss needs its own investigation

Water around a radiator valve, staining beneath a pipe or a gauge that keeps dropping is useful evidence. Do not keep adding water to a system without understanding why it is losing pressure. Keep clear of wet electrical fittings and hot discharge.

Our radiator leak repair page covers visible radiator and valve leaks. For a pressure reading that falls without an obvious leak, see boiler pressure loss. An appointment may first make the situation safe or contain the fault, with parts and further work agreed afterwards.

Choose the service that matches your system

  • Gas central heating covers boiler-led heating faults and the checks needed before gas work.
  • Underfloor heating covers water-based floor circuits, manifolds and zone problems.
  • Powerflushing covers system cleaning when an assessment indicates contamination; it is not the answer to every cold radiator.
  • Hot-water emergencies covers the separate problem of losing hot water at the taps.

Before you book

Have your postcode, heat-source make and model, and any fault code ready if they are safely accessible. Explain whether the property has radiators, underfloor heating or both. Mention tenants, a managing agent or restricted cupboard access so permissions can be arranged.

Ask what the initial charge covers, how additional investigation is authorised and whether parts are included. We do not quote a repair outcome before the cause is established. Our call-out cost guide lists the questions to settle before attendance.

Repair, replacement or cleaning?

A failed component may be repairable without changing the whole system. Equally, replacing one part will not necessarily resolve a wider circulation or control problem. Discuss the findings and options before authorising additional work. Whole-house redesign and planned replacement need their own scope, rather than being assumed within an emergency booking.
